Oscar Garcia felt Albion were sunk by a goal which should have been disallowed today.
But he did not blame referee James Adcock for the last-gasp 2-1 defeat at Leeds.
The Seagulls felt Luke Murphy handled as he turned home the clincher in the last minute of added time.
Oscar said: “I think everybody saw it was a handball and the referee, when he arrives at home, he can see it on television.
“But the referee has had a very difficult job. It’s not easy to decide in one or two seconds or maybe less time.
“But it was the difference."
Oscar believed his side could have taken all three points.
He added: “Five minutes before that we had a chance to score and didn’t score. It’s football.”
