Albion winger Kazenga LuaLua has been ruled out for at least another two matches by a nagging knee injury.

He missed Saturday's home defeat by Brentford and will also be sidelined from tomorrow night's visit by leaders Huddersfield and Saturday's trip to promoted Burton.

Boss Chris Hughton told The Argus: "Kazenga's knee is still sore. He certainly won't make tomorrow or Saturday. We are just assessing whether it's going to be longer or not.

"It's unfortunate. He's got himself back into good shape, felt his knee in training a couple of weeks ago and it's persisted a little bit."

The injury is another blow for LuaLua, who was denied a loan move at the end of the transfer window.

Hughton said: "The reason we kept him here is he has been in good form. I thought he was very good in the two (League) Cup games.

"It's been an unfortunate time for him, particularly after the start he had last season, but these things are all part and parcel of the game."

Connor Goldson, Uwe Huenemeier (below) and Solly March, all on the road to recovery after lengthy injuries, have been earmarked to feature in next Tuesday's League Cup tie at home to Reading.

The Argus: The under-23s are in action against West Brom at the Hawthorns tonight (7pm).

Summer signing Tyler Hornby-Forbes begins a three-match ban for his recent red card against Fulham.
