Andrea Orlandi is back in contention for Albion's trip to Blackpool on Saturday.

The Spanish midfielder and set piece specialist missed the defeats against Middlesbrough and Leicester with a calf injury.

First team coach Charlie Oatway said: "He is going to be joining in training day, which is of benefit to us, because he has got a lot of qualities.

"He's had this niggly little calf injury but it looks like he is on the road to recovery to come into the squad, which is great news.

"It's a long season with a lot of games and if he has to miss out on one or two you would rather that than trying to play through it and, God forbid, pulling it completely."

Orlandi's fellow countryman Vicente continues to make slow progress in his recovery from thigh tendon trouble.

Oatway said: "He is on his way back. He's had a couple of different types of treatment. We are looking at hopefully him starting training very soon.

"It's slowly, slowly, and hopefully we will get the benefits from Christmas onwards."
