Stephen Dobbie hit an added-time winner tonight to put Albion back on course.

The substitute netted in the second added minute to secure a 1-0 win over Peterborough at The Amex.

Dobbie grabbed his first goal for the Seagulls wth a deft touch over oncoming goalkeeper Robert Olejnik after good work by Ashley Barnes.

The goal was reward for a second-half onslaught from the hosts.

Olejnik denied Barnes, Will Buckley and Wayne Bridge (twice), Andrea Orlandi crashed a super volley against a post and Craig Mackail-Smith missed a good chance.

Albion piled up 19 corners in the hunt for a first win in eight games.

The Seagulls also had the better of a quiet first half. But there were arguably only two occasions when it looked like they might go ahead.

Andrew Crofts skied a shot over after Buckley had beaten two defenders and cut the ball back.

And Mackail-Smith headed straight at Olejnik from Bruno’s accurate cross.
