Former Southampton boss Nigel Adkins has been confirmed as the new manager of Premier League relegation candidates Reading.
Albion chief Gus Poyet was targeted for the job by Reading but The Argus website exclusively revealed last week that the Uruguayan was staying with the Seagulls.
Poyet returns from a short break in Barbados to oversee training today as Albion launch preparations for Saturday's visit to fellow Championship promotion hopefuls Nottingham Forest.
