Albion can leapfrog Leicester into the Championship play-off places if they beat or draw with Nottingham Forest tomorrow.
The stuttering Foxes were defeated 1-0 by Millwall at the King Power Stadium tonight.
Alan Dunne got the crucial goal for the Lions with three minutes remaining after Leicester had been reduced to ten men when Wes Morgan was sent off after just three minutes.
The result means Leicester remain sixth on 59 points level with Albion, who play their game in hand at fifth-placed Forest (60 points) tomorrow.
Crystal Palace were surprisingly thumped 4-0 by visitors Birmingham while Watford’s automatic promotion hopes were also damaged as they drew 3-3 with Burnley.
