Albion will kick off at Middlesbrough tomorrow still in the top six after rivals Leicester City blew their chance to leapfrog them.
Leicester twice led at home to Birmingham tonight but were pegged back to draw 2-2.
Chris Burke denied the Foxes two points by converting a penalty in added time.
A Curtis Davies own goal and Jeff Schlupp’s header gave Leicester their leads in front of 25,554 but Nikola Zigic levelled first time around for Blues.
The result sees Leicester cut the gap on the sixth-placed Seagulls to a single point.
However they will feel they should be four points clear having also let slip a lead at The Amex last week.
