Tony Bloom insists Albion can mount another promotion push without Gus Poyet as manager.
The chairman has hit back at the sacked Poyet for claiming after the play-off defeat by arch rivals Crystal Palace in May that Albion may have gone as far as they can.
Bloom, breaking his silence over Poyet's dismissal, said: "Gus has mentioned he fears that maybe we have hit the roof. I don't have those fears at all.
"I just think we are moving nicely upwards and I think that will continue and I think we will have a very good shot at promotion this season, so I disagree with him on that.
"Financial Fair Play is hitting all clubs but, because we have such good crowds and such a good fan base, perhaps it hits us less than other clubs.
"Certainly it will affect our footballing budget a little bit but I feel we have every chance of a promotion push.
"It's not easy at all but I would be hopeful of at least a top six finish."
