Ryan Harley has left Albion and is poised to complete the paperwork on a two-year deal with Swindon.

The midfielder has linked up with the League One club in Portugal after agreeing a settlement with Albion on the 11 months remaining on his contract.

The Argus revealed earlier this week that Bristolian Harley was bound for a move back West with his exclusion from the Seagulls' squad list.

The 28-year-old was hoping to resurrect his Albion career under new head coach Oscar Garcia after gradually falling out of favour during the reign of former boss Gus Poyet, who  bought him from Swansea for £250,000 in August 2011.

Harley only featured in the opening friendly at Whitehawk before it became evident he had no future at the club.
