Albion have their first points of the season thanks to a deserved 1-0 win at Birmingham City.
Andrew Crofts fired the only goal with an angled right foot shot on 73 minutes after running on to Kemy Agustien’s well-timed pass.
Albion, for whom Stephen Ward made his debut, should have taken their fourth early lead in as many matches this season.
Their confident start deserved reward but Leo Ulloa saw a header well saved by Darren Randolph and poked another chance weakly wide, Kemy Agustien chipped off target and Stephen Ward drilled a shot just too high.
Birmingham suddenly sprung to life after the break when strike pair Andy Shinnie and Lee Novak both saw efforts hit the top of the bar and bounce over.
But Albion were generally solid and Matthew Upson was denied by a brilliant save from Randolph late on.
