Albion extended their unbeaten run to five games with an excellent point away to the new leaders tonight.

They drew 0-0 at QPR, who move a point clear at the top with this result.

Chances were few and far between but Tomasz Kuszczak made a pair of excellent saves.

The Polish keeper parried a Charlie Austin header from close range in the first half.

He then tipped a Joey Barton free-kick away from the top corner in the second period.

Albion also had to clear from their line in a goalmouth scramble.

Keith Andrews went closest for the Seagulls with a long-range blast which flicked off a defender and flew narrowly wide.

Stephen Ward limped off in the closing stages.
