Oscar Garcia is ready for some big selection decisions as his injured stars return.

The Albion head coach is looking forward to welcoming back Will Buckley, Keith Andrews, Andrea Orlandi, Leo Ulloa and Kazenga LuaLua at various stages in the coming weeks.

He has already given Liam Bridcutt a long-awaited comeback after hernia surgery and re-introduced Kemy Agustien to the bench.

But he admits players who have featured in the meantime have done their case for continued selection no harm.

In an interview for tomorrow’s edition of our sports pullout The Score, Oscar said: “I’m very happy with the players who didn’t have such important roles at the start of the season.

“The good thing is that when others come back there will be a lot of competition to play.

“They will have to perform really well to stay in the side.”

Oscar says he is not sure when long-term absentee Craig Mackail-Smith will be back.

The striker is making progress from the ankle injury which followed his ruptured Achilles, suffered at Bristol City in March.

Oscar said: “He had the injury he had, then the problem with the ankle, so it’s going a bit slower.

“There is no date yet for him to come back.”
