Adam El-Abd has been through the highs and lows with Albion.
But he will take plenty of good memories with him to Bristol City after 11 years with the Seagulls’ senior team.
El-Abd made exactly 300 league appearances for his local club, the first of them in a 2-1 win at Notts County in November 2003.
He won over critics, most notably as he made leaps and bounds under the management of Gus Poyet, and made 99 appearances in the Championship.
