Albion are counting the cost of two dropped points after a 0-0 draw at home to Blackpool today.

The Seagulls struggled to break down the struggling visitors.

And, when they did, they either found keeper Joe Lewis in good form or were unable to finish.

They will look back in particular on a one-on-one in the very first minute for Adrian Colunga, who finished weakly and allowed Lewis to make an easy save.

The former Peterborough keeper was tested rather more as he denied Bruno and Danny Holla (twice) after the break.

But Blackpool held on, despite losing key defender Peter Clarke to illness this morning and being reduced to ten men for the last few minutes when his stand-in Jeffey Rentmeister was helped off with a knee injury.

They might have even have nicked a win but for David Stockdale’s save from Ishmael Miller on a counter-attack.

There were a few boos at the end for Albion, who sent on Paddy McCourt in a late bid to unlock the defence.

It was McCourt’s first playing time for the club in the league and he curled a late effort narrowly wide.
