Craig Mackail-Smith has been ruled out of Albion's visit to his home town club Watford tomorrow.
The Seagulls will make a late decision on fellow striker Sam Baldock but are unlikely to take any risks with him.
Mackail-Smith suffered a hamstring injury in Tuesday's 1-1 draw at home to Cardiff and Baldock has missed the last two matches with a calf problem.
Manager Sami Hyypia said: "Macca had a scan yesterday. We are quite optimistic he will be back after the international break. He has a slight injury there and he's not going to take part tomorrow.
"With Sam he feels a little bit better. We will need to wait until tomorrow to make a decision. Of course, I hope he can play but I don't know how clever it is to take a risk for one game when you might lose somebody for a month or so."
Albion are also without long-term injury victims Solly March (back) and Dale Stephens (ankle), while Jake Forster-Caskey and Inigo Calderon are suspended.
Kemy Agustien could return on the bench after making his comeback from a twisted ankle in the Under-21s on Monday night.
