Albion left-back Adam Chicksen has joined Gillingham on loan in the quest for first-team football.
He has signed for the League One strugglers for a month.
Chicksen played in all four of the Seagulls' ties in the Capital One Cup this season.
He also appeared in the 2-0 Championship win at Leeds in August.
But he has found league action hard to come by since the arrival on loan of Joe Bennett.
Albion manager Sami Hyypia said: "Adam has shown a great attitude and worked hard this season and he has produced a number of good performances in both the league and cup competitions.
“When the opportunity for him to go to Gillingham arose, we thought it would be good for his development to play regular first-team football.”
Gills moved for Chicksen after Joe Martin was sent-off in their Johnstone's Paint Trophy win at Crawley on Tuesday, incurring a three-match ban in the process.
The Albion man could make his debut against Leyton Orient tomorrow. His loan expires after the trip to Doncaster on December 13
