Albion boss Chris Hughton's successor at Norwich City has resigned.

Neil Adams has left the Carrow Road post with immediate effect following the Canaries' FA Cup exit at Preston.

They are currently seventh in the Championship after losing at Reading on December 28.

Recently appointed first team coach Mike Phelan has taken caretaker charge.

Hughton was sacked by Norwich last April, with the club outside the Premier League relegation zone.

They were relegated until ex-youth team coach Adams, who was nevertheless appointed to the post on a full-time basis in May.

Albion entertain Norwich at the Amex on Good Friday April 3.
