Celtic defensive midfielder Beram Kayal is the latest player to be linked with Albion.

The 26-year-old Israeli international has been identified by scouts as a potential signing, according to the Daily Star in Scotland.

Kayal , out of contract in the summer, has not played for Celtic since November. He joined them from Maccabi Haifa in 2010.

Albion boss Chris Hughton is after an experienced central midfielder in the January transfer window.

Kayal has never played in England, yet alone the Championship, although he does have Champions League, Europa League and Scottish Premiership pedigree in 13 appearances for Celtic this season.
