Leon Best can make an instant impact at the Amex – by scoring his first home goal since the night he sank Albion.
The Blackburn striker brought in on loan today rolled in the late winner while with Sheffield Wednesday last season when they beat the Seagulls 1-0 at Hillsborough.
He later netted in the Owls’ impressive 4-2 win at Bournemouth, taking him to seven goals for the season.
But he did not find the target during a stop-start loan stint at Derby this season, when all 15 of his league appearances were made coming off the bench.
Best will take the Albion No.19 shirt worn by his striking predecessor Leo Ulloa.
But he will not be able to repeat the Argentinean’s feat of scoring in the fourth round of FA Cup against Arsenal.
Best is cup-tied for the Gunners’ visit having played for Derby against Southport in the third round.
