Albion newcomer Beram Kayal makes his debut today and Kazenga LuaLua his comeback from injury in the under-21s.

The pair are expected to play at least a half against AFC Wimbledon at the Seagulls’ Lancing training complex (2pm).

If they come through unscathed they will be in contention for Nottingham Forest’s visit to the Amex on Saturday.

Israeli midfielder Kayal completed his move from Celtic at the end of last week.

Winger LuaLua has been out with knee trouble since limping out of the home defeat by Fulham at the end of November.

The squad facing Wimbledon also features midfielder Dale Stephens and striker Shamir Fenelon.

Stephens is likely to step up his return from nine months out with ankle damage by playing for an hour.

He had half-an-hour in the under-21s against Middlesbrough last week, then 45 minutes against Cambridge United.

Fenelon is back from an extended loan spell with League Two Tranmere.
