Beram Kayal and Leon Best have been handed full debuts for Albion in tonight’s Championship clash away to Cardiff City.

Former Celtic midfielder Kayal scored as a substitute after coming on for his debut in the 3-2 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Best, who is on loan from Blackburn, makes his first start after three substitute appearances.

Manager Chris Hughton has made three changes from Saturday’s disappointing defeat.

Kayal replaces Danny Holla, Best takes over in attack from Chris O’Grady and Jake Forster-Caskey comes in for the injured Solly March.

Dale Stephens, who has been out since April with a knee injury, is named among the substitutes alongside O’Grady and the versatile Greg Halford, who was ineligible to play against parent club Forest on Saturday.

There is no place in the matchday 18 for Holla. Sam Baldock is still ruled out by a minor hamstring problem.

It is understood Inigo Calderon will drop back into his natural position of right-back with Bruno pushing forward into midfield.

Former Albion winger Craig Noone returns to the Cardiff line-up while another one-time Seagull, Alex Revell, is among the substitutes.
