Lewis Dunk has moved further ahead at the top of Albion's goal chart - after being awarded a goal he admitted should not be his.

The free-scoring centre-half has been officially credited with the opener against Nottingham Forest at the Amex last Saturday by referee Chris Sarginson.

Cameras panned in on Dunk after an inswinging free-kick from Danny Holla found its way into the Forest net.

Closer inspection of the replays revealed the ball went in off Forest's former Albion loanee Gary Gardner.

Holla told The Argus after the game: "I spoke with Lewis and he said he didn't touch it, but I don't know who did. I was just happy it went in."

Dunk now has seven goals to his name, three more than Joao Teixeira and the departed Adrian Colunga.
