Albion loan signing Joao Teixeira will be given the chance to force his way into Liverpool's first team plans this summer.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been delighted by the first team experience Teixeira has gained with the Seagulls, according to the Liverpool Daily Echo.

They say Rodgers will run the rule over the 22-year-old Portugese playmaker in pre-season and he is likely to travel to Australia for Liverpool's July tour.

Teixeira recently revealed to The Argus he would consider a return to Albion if he does not make a breakthrough at Liverpool.

He has scored six goals in 28 appearances for the Seagulls this season.
