HAVING had a go at one of his own supporters and thrown a water bottle at an empty dug-out at the end of the Old Firm match, you would have expected Neil Lennon to lay low for a while.

But, no, Lennon let himself down again during the match with Falkirk at Westfield on Sunday.

His obscene gesture at those Bairns fans who, it must be remembered, had barracked him for the full 90 minutes was very disappointing.

It is certainly not the sort of conduct you expect to see from the Celtic captain. Somebody in such an important position needs to show more discipline.

Neil is a role model to all the young players at Parkhead as well as thousands of young fans who look up to him. If they see him acting like that then they obviously think it is okay to do the same.

I am sure Neil will have woken up yesterday and regretted his actions. He should know better than to behave like that.

But he, his manager and perhaps even the club must do something about it to ensure there is no repeat. Fan forum

IT'S time for Gordon to pick the team on merit. How can he justify Lennon as an untouchable? Hugh, Belfast I THINK GS is right about referees.
