YOUNGSTERS got an insight into the world of work when they took part in a careers event at their school.
A range of organisations and businesses, including the army, the Dogs Trust, Clyde FC, the police and fire brigade, told pupils about the jobs they do, during the World of Work day at Glenmanor Primary School in Moodiesburn.
Pupils from St Michael's Primary School in Moodiesburn also got the chance to grill staff from each company about what their jobs involve.
Local colleges were also on hand to answer the Primary 6 and 7 children's questions about further education and Careers Scotland gave a talk.
Glenmanor principal teacher Sharin Nicolson said: "It was designed to improve the children's knowledge of what's available to them and also to try and raise their sense of what they can achieve."
The children have already had lessons on tax and pensions.
