Albion remain unbeaten after a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield - but they failed to make the most of a dream start.
Beram Kayal fired the Seagulls ahead after just 17 seconds with a fierce drive from just outside the box.
But the hosts replied on 54 minutes as Jacob Butterfield fired in from a tight angle.
Sam Baldock was involved in the build-up to the Seagulls' goal and was twice denied by Joe Murphy as they looked likely to add a second.
But Huddersfield improved dramatically after the break and Stockdale made two decent saves either side of being caught out at his near post.
Bruno kept Albion on terms with a goal-saving challenge when Ishmael Miller seemed certain to tap in.
But sub Chris O'Grady almost won it late on for Albion when he headed over from a cross by Jamie Murphy, who made his debut off the bench,
