James Wilson is out of the reckoning for Albion's FA Cup tie at Hull tomorrow.
The Seagulls have not received permission from Manchester United to field the on-loan striker in the third round clash at the KC Stadium.
Wilson, on loan from Old Trafford for the rest of the season, may well have been rested in any case by Chris Hughton.
The manager will make maximum use of his promotion-seeking squad to take account of two tough away games in the Championship at Rotherham on Tuesday and Blackburn four days later.
