Former Albion favourite Vicente has rejoined Valencia - in a scouting and advisory role.
And he could soon be on the look-out for talent in England.
Vicente has gone back to club where he made his name as a player in a role which includes scouting both in Spain and further afield.
He will also act as a consultant to the new sporting director at Mestalla, Suso García Pitarch.
Vicente played for Albion between September 2011 and May 2013.
He told The Argus last summer of his ambitions in coaching and management and added a tongue-in-cheek suggestion that he could one day become Albion boss.
A spokesman for the ex-winger today told The Argus: "Vicente greatly values the two years he had in England because it helped him know English football far better and from close quarters."
Valencia, under the management of Gary Neville, have gone nine league games without a win but the return of an idol could lift spirits of a frustrated fanbase
