Dale Stephens reckons Albion’s old heads can help them across the finishing line in the automatic promotion race.
David Stockdale, Liam Rosenior and Gordon Greer are all big characters in the dressing room along with stand-in skipper Bruno, named in both the Football League and PFA teams of the season.
Stephens said: “He’s been brilliant. He’s very consistent, He’s an athlete for his age and it’s no surprise to see him getting into the team of the season.
“I hope it (experience) does play a part in squeaky bum time. I think it has over the course of the season. We’ve got leaders, big characters, and it moulds well with the rest of the team.

“We’ve got Stocko, Rosey on the other side, GG as well. He’s our captain, although he’s not been playing we’ve got good character in the changing room and you can see that on the pitch.”
There will be plenty of bellowing between Stephens and midfield partner Beram Kayal at Charlton today as Albion try to keep in with a big shout of ending up in the top two.
Stephens, who spent two-and-a-half seasons at Charlton before signing for the Seagulls, admitted: “There’s a lot of shouting at each other, it’s not all nice.
“I think it helps us both. Hopefully that can contribute and catapult us to promotion.”
