Albion fans have been warned to arrive early for Monday's second leg of the play-offs against Sheffield Wednesday at the Amex to avoid chaos on the trains.

Southern Rail have advised the Seagulls of severe disruption to their regular evening services, due to staff shortages.

A club statement said: "We have been advised by Southern Rail that due to staff shortages they expect severe disruption on Monday evening to their regular services and they are unable to provide their usual matchday service.

"Southern will be attempting to run their timetabled service, but we have been warned to expect cancellations. Therefore, we are advising fans, wherever possible, to seek alternative modes of transport."

Buses and coaches are running normally but the park and ride sites are expected to be busier than normal, especially at Brighton Racecourse where there is an afternoon meeting.

Southern Rail are also running only their usual timetable after 10.30pm, when fans could be leaving the stadium if the tie goes to extra-time and penalties.

Supporters can send messages of support and good luck to the team, with the best ones shown on the big screen before kick-off.
