This is how the North Stand celebrated a second Albion goal today.

Fans had just watched the Seagulls see off Blackburn 1-0 through Glenn Murray’s expert strike.

Then, minutes after full-time at the Amex, news came through that Burton Albion had gone ahead deep into added time away to ten-man Huddersfield.

Some fans at the Amex were still in the stands and the celebrations soon started.

Seagulls players heard the news as they came off the pitch and Uwe Huenemeier was informed as he conducted a radio interview.

Burton held on to that lead ease to ease their own relegation fears and send the Seagulls NINE points clear of third place.

Jackson Irvine was Burton’s matchwinner with his tenth goal of the season after Huddersfield had Dean Whitehead sent off.

Huddersfield still have a game in hand – but it sounded like the party had started in the North Stand concourse as the dust settled at the Amex.
