Former Albion boss Oscar Garcia is celebrating another league title - and a place in the Champions League.

The Spaniard steered Red Bull Salzburg to the Austrian Bundesliga crown for the fourth season in succession with a 1-0 win against Rapid Vienna.

Salzburg have lost in the Champions League qualifiers in each of the last five seasons.

Uefa rules prohibit clubs with strong links from being in European competition in the same season.

Salszburg's higher finish gives them preference over RB Leipzig, who have sealed a top four spot in the German Bundesliga.

Leipzig are also run by Red Bull but German football rules prohibit a club from having a sponsor in their name.

Leipzig can finish second at best after losing 5-4 to Bayern Munich.

Oscar steered Albion into the play-offs in 2013-14, his only season in charge, after winning the Israeli League title with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

He had been linked with the manager's job at Barcelona - where he was a player - when Luis Enrique steps down at the end of the season.

Reports suggest another ex-Barcelona player, Athletic Bilbao boss Ernesto Valverde, will succeed Enrique at the Camp Nou.
