ALBION are being helped in their Premier League preparations – by Jurgen Klopp’s son.

Marc Klopp is hosting the Seagulls at their training camp in Austria.

The Liverpool chief’s 28-year-old son works for German-based company onside, who organise pre-season tours.

Klopp junior, who played for Borussia Dortmund before injury cut short his career, has combined with ex-Albion defender Gary Hobson to ensure all the needs of Chris Hughton and his Albion players are met in their Alpine retreat at Leogang, near Salzburg.

He told The Argus: “We are making sure they have the best prep for the Premier League. The weather’s good and they are staying at the best hotel in town.”

Klopp will be keeping a close eye on the Seagulls in their debut season in the Premier League.

“Of course, now there is another involvement,” he said. “Chris the gaffer is awesome and I would love to work with them at more than one training camp.”

His support will not stretch to wanting Albion to upset dad’s team when Liverpool visit the Amex at the start of December.

Klopp junior joked: “Family is family!”

Albion are hoping Klopp senior will allow 20-year-old defender Joe Gomez to make a loan move from Anfield following his recovery from a cruciate knee ligament injury.

The former Charlton prospect, speaking to the Liverpool Echo, said: “The main thing is getting regular football. I just want to get back to enjoying my football and playing consistently.

“I think that’s something I’ve missed over the last couple of seasons with the injury, but now it’s all in front of me. I just have to put in the work and be prepared to do it.”
