Sam Baldock continued his return to full match fitness with a goal tonight.

Baldock scored near the end of his 60-minute run out for the under-23s against Hull at the club’s Lancing training complex.

He appeared at far post to turn in his team’s second equaliser after Josh Kerr headed the ball across goal.

Baldock has yet to feature in the Premier League but is making progress after surgery on his calf muscle during the summer.

Goals from Ben Hinchcliffe and Tom Powell put Hull 2-1 up at the break.

Aaron Connolly’s good finish from the edge of the box had the Seagulls level at 1-1 for a while.

And Steven Alzate almost made it 2-2 right on half-time when he shot against the post.

Once Baldock had levelled, Albion powered forward in search of a winner.

Hull had Lewis Ritson sent off for a second bookable offence on 78 minutes and Soufyan Ahannach hit the bar from the resulting free-kick.

But Hull grabbed an 83rd-minute winner through Keane Lewis-Potter from close range.
