Albion's first night game at The Amex is poised to be against former landlords Gillingham.
The League Two club from Kent will visit the Seagulls' new stadium in the first round of the Carling Cup in the week commencing Monday August 8.
Albion groundshared with Gillingham for two seasons after leaving the Goldstone in 1997.
The Seagulls' Championship fixtures are released tomorrow morning and they are expecting a home game to kick-off on August 5, 6 or 7, with the date and kick-off time dependent on the possibility of live TV coverage.
Crawley could face a trip to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park if they come through their preliminary round meeting with AFC Wimbledon.
