Albion chief scout Zigor Aranalde has left to become assistant head coach at Spanish side Albacete.
Aranalde will work alongside recently-arrived boss Antonio Gomez, whose CV includes a role on Rafa Benitez's staff at Liverpool.
They will look to get Albacete back into the second division following relegation in the season which is just ending in Spain.
Aranalde and Gomez were playing colleagues at the club in the late 1990s.
