ALBION prospect Jake Forster-Caskey could be burnt out by a punishing international schedule.

That is the fear of his stepfather and former Albion captain Nicky Forster as the midfielder features for England in the Under 17s’ World Cup in Mexico.

They played their opening match against Rwanda late last night British time and won 2-0 and face further group games against Canada and Uruguay – which will be of particular interest to Albion boss Gus Poyet.

The England youngsters qualified by reaching the semi-finals of the European Championships in Serbia in May.

Forster recognises it is all good experience for his stepson, especially acclimatising to playing at altitude in Mexico, but he is concerned about how much two tournaments in quick succession will take out of him.

Forster said: “He has been away twice now, for the European Championships and now the World Cup. Why they do them in the same year I don’t understand."
