Curtis Osano has been given another chance to stake his claim for a deal with Albion.
Boss Gus Poyet has extended the trial of the right-back from debt-ridden Rushden and Diamonds to include tonight’s friendly against Horsham at Worthing (7.45pm).
Kenya-born Osano, 24, played in the first half against Burgess Hill on Sunday.
Poyet said: “I asked him to stay another three days. He’s been decent, nothing spectacular, nothing bad.”
Poyet wants cover for regular fullbacks Inigo Calderon and Marcos Painter.
His assistant Mauricio Taricco is taking part in pre-season and also featured at Burgess Hill.
Poyet said: “Tano has been good but we’re still looking. That is why Curtis is here and we’ll see if we can get one before we got to Portugal (on Sunday). If not we will see what the situation is with Curtis, Tano and company.”
