Albion have reportedly agreed a fee with Crystal Palace for midfield target Owen Garvan.
The Seagulls had a £250,000 bid for the 23-year-old Irishman rejected by Palace but have since upped their offer.
Boss Gus Poyet told The Argus last month: "We would be interested at the right price at the right time."
