Albion went down 1-0 to Paris St-Germain in Albufeira tonight.
Star Brazilian winger Nene got the only goal after 28 minutes following a slip-up by Casper Ankergren.
The Seagulls keeper later redeemed himself with a fine save from the clean through Kevin Gameiro.
Albion also had their chances in the second period.
PSG keeper Nicolas Douchez used his legs to block shots from Will Hoskins and Craig Mackail-Smith.
Seagulls boss Gus Poyet was sent from the bench shortly before the only goal for his comments after Alan Navarro had been booked for shirt-tugging.
