Gus Poyet has called on his Albion side to cut out the defensive errors.

The Seagulls went down 3-2 to Spurs in their final friendly today, despite playing some good stuff when going forward.

Boss Poyet said: "The players enjoyed it a lot. We had a great 35 minutes, quite spectacular to be honest.

"But of course the game is 90, or 93, and you need to try to play the best you can and, when you are not playing well, make sure you defend well.

"We keep giving goals away too cheaply. I hope it's history and we stop making mistakes from next week.

"It was individual mistakes. If it was concentration, it's my job.

"If we cannot cope with some kind of action, it's my job.

"But when to pass and when to give a ball is not so we need to make sure we don't do any more of them, that we are strong.

"The rest was a very good and entertaining afternoon."
