Kazenga LuaLua has given Albion a big boost at the start of the season by revealing he wants to stay for good this time.
The flying winger, left,on loan from trouble-torn Newcastle until January 15, makes his Championship debut for the Seagulls today against old club Doncaster at The Amex.
LuaLua, who has already had two successful loan spells with Albion, told The Argus: “If everything goes well then I will be happy to sign for Brighton permanently. I hope to do well and stay for longer.
“I think I can do well in the Championship. I’ve got pace, many things to cause defenders problems, but I still need to learn of course."
LuaLua, 20, made four appearances on loan to Doncaster in the Championship three seasons ago.
"It's a tough league," he said. "Hopefully we will keep playing the way we did last season.
"It's too early to talk about promotion. We just need to keep winning games and see where it takes us."
