Gus Poyet is one of four contenders for manager of the month honours in the Championship.
The Albion boss is joined on the list of nominees for the August prize by Nigel Clough (Derby), Tony Mowbray (Middlesbrough) and Nigel Adkins (Southampton).
Poyet led his newly-promoted team to top spot in the second tier with 13 points from a possible 15.
He also masterminded a Carling Cup win over top-flight Sunderland.
Derby, Middlesbrough and Southampton also made flying starts to the seaoson.
All three, however, slipped up in the latest round of games to leave the route open for Albion to hit top spot.
The winner will be announced tomorrow
