Albion's assistant manager Mauricio Taricco has called time on his playing career again, The Argus understands.
Taricco, 38, made his first appearance since January at right-back in Tuesday's 3-1 home defeat by Crystal Palace but only lasted for an hour.
The Argentinian was not named in the squad at his old club Ipswich today after signing a new five-year contract yesterday in tandem with manager Gus Poyet.
Taricco made a playing comeback with the Seagulls last year after originally retiring in 2004.
