ALBION striker Craig Mackail-Smith is in contention for his full debut for Scotland in their Euro 2012 qualifying double-header.

An injury to first choice marksman Kenny Miller has increased the chances of Mackail-Smith featuring in trips to Liechtenstein on Saturday and world champions Spain next week.

Miller limped off with a groin problem in the early stages of Cardiff’s 2-1 Championship defeat at the Seagulls’ next opponents Hull City.

Mackail-Smith, Miller and Blackburn’s David Goodwillie are the only out-and-out strikers named in the Scotland squad by manager Craig Levein.

Mackail-Smith, sidelined during the last international break by a back injury sustained against his old club Peterborough, has made two substitute appearances for Scotland this year.

He has scored three goals in the last three games for Albion and six in 12 appearances in total since his £2.5 million move from Posh.

The Scots need at least four points from the fixtures against Liechtenstein and Spain to stand a chance of pipping the Czech Republic for a play-off spot.
