ALBION will be without Vicente again for tomorrow night’s trip to Watford.

Will Hoskins and Will Buckley will also miss out against their old club and there is a question mark as well over the fitness of Gonzalo Jara Reyes.

A thigh injury sidelined Spanish playmaker Vicente for the third match running at Birmingham on Saturday.

Manager Gus Poyet told The Argus: “Vicente has the type of injury that maybe you can play for 30 minutes but the more you run the more the muscle rubs so it’s too risky. If we didn't have players he would play but we want him to be pain-free.”

Poyet also wants to save Hoskins (thigh strain) for Sunday's home game against Barnsley. Buckley was due to start at Birmingham but pulled out at the end of the warm-up with a further recurrence of hamstring trouble.

Jara Reyes was forced off in the closing stages at St Andrews with a knock on the knee inflicted by fellow Chilean Jean Beausejour.

He was replaced at right-back by assistant manager Mauricio Taricco, who has been persuaded to play again by Poyet just weeks after retiring.

The Uruguayan said: “Slowly he is going to start playing a little bit to give us a hand in terms of experience.”

Buckley's late withdrawal saw Ashley Barnes promoted from the bench and left Albion with only four substitutes.

Poyet admitted: “That was a big mistake. We have been taking 17 or 18 players everywhere, even 20. The first day we take 16 a player gets injured and we don't have another one for the bench. That is my responsibility “When we had 18 I didn't like long faces in the dressing room but maybe now we always need to take an extra man.”
