Albion boss Gus Poyet will not block a lucrative move to Bournemouth for Steve Cook - as long as the deal is right for all parties.
The 20-year-old defender is on the brink of making his loan switch to the Cherries permanent, for a reported fee of around £150,000 and a healthy wage rise.
Poyet said: "It's a good option. We are trying to make sure it is right for everyone if it happens. It's not only one way or the other - everybody wins. If the player and the two clubs are happy it's going to be easy."
Cook, who has helped Bournemouth claim 14 points from his seven starts for them in League One, said: "I would be open to a move.
"I am playing regular football and we are pushing for the play-offs. The club is only going in one direction.
"I have been there (Albion) since I was nine and it (leaving) would definitely be the hardest decision of my life so far. It would be difficult but you have got to think about yourself."
