Gus Poyet is off to Wembley – to answer to the FA again.

The Albion chief has been charged with improper conduct at last Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Coventry.

The reason for the latest charge affecting the Seagulls is a mystery, although The Argus understands it is not connected with Alan Navarro’s controversial booking at the Ricoh Arena for taking a free-kick too quickly.

It is also unrelated to Craig Noone being ordered to walk around the perimeter of the pitch when he was forced off by a hamstring injury.

Poyet, pictured below, has until 4pm next Tuesday to respond to the charge. He is expected to request a personal hearing.

The disciplinary regulations prevent the Uruguayan or Albion from commenting on the alleged nature of his offence but club officials are becoming increasingly frustrated by the FA’s attitude towards them.

The Seagulls have already been fined a total of £27,500 this season for failing to control their players in three separate incidents against Gillingham, Leicester and Southampton.

Poyet was warned about his future conduct after he was ordered from the dugout on the opening day against Doncaster.
