KAZENGA LuaLua is winning his race to be fit to face his old club Newcastle in the FA Cup.

The winger feared the worst after limping out of the third round tie against Wrexham at The Amex earlier this month with a hamstring injury.

But LuaLua is making good progress and boss Gus Poyet expects him to be fit for the fourth round showdown with the Toon at The Amex a week tomorrow (5.15pm).

Fellow winger Craig Noone, also currently sidelined by a hamstring problem, is likely to be ready as well to tackle Alan Pardew’s Premier League giants.

Poyet said: “Saturday (Peterborough) is probably too soon for Nooney.

“He is close and Kazenga as well. He is looking forward to playing against Newcastle.”

Tickets for the eagerly-awaited visit of Alan Pardew’s side went on sale online yesterday and will be available by phone on 0844 327 1901 and in person from 9am today.

General matchday tickets are available to supporters with 250 loyalty points or more.
