ALBION match-winner Will Buckley reckons he is finally rid of the burden of being Elliott Bennett's replacement.

Buckley has been plagued by hamstring problems since the Seagulls bought the right winger from Watford for £1 million in the summer following Bennett’s move to Norwich.

He is now enjoying a run of games and scored both goals in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Peterborough to add to the two he scored in the opening day victory against Doncaster at The Amex and a late winner against Nottingham Forest. Buckley told The Argus: “There was expectation when I signed. There is going to be when it’s for £1 million and I was always going to get compared to Elliott Bennett.

There was pressure but that’s what I am paid to do, get out there and do my best on the pitch.

“It’s been frustrating but I feel fitter and stronger and my game is coming together a lot better now. You have got to make the most of these times in front of goal when everything seems to go in.”
